Gruyere is love, Gruyere is life. Seriously, I love Gruyere cheese. So. Much. So if you haven’t had Gruyere cheese, it basically tastes like a cross between Swiss and Parmesan. Now, Gruyere is great when grated for melting and for making cheese sauces but at the store one day I accidentally picked up smoked Gruyere and OMG guys! It is so good! The texture is soft like soap but smooth like a bald head. Ok that sounds really gross but TRUST ME it isn’t! Now what makes smoked Gruyere so good is the fact that it doesn’t need to be melted or anything. It’s kinda like pre cooked meat, just slice it and eat it. So I decided to put it in a salad. And I added a baked potato cause……. Potatoes are awesome.
- One handful spinach
- 50 grams potatoes
- 1 oz smoked Gruyere
- 6 grams walnuts
This recipe is super simple and worth it for the taste. Place your spinach on a plate or in a bowl. Cut a 1 oz block out of your smoked Gruyere and cut it in to small pieces. Then spread your walnuts around the dish. Take your potato and microwave it for 5 min or until tender. Top with the potato.
