I’m a big Harry Potter fan. Like a seriously big one. Some might even say I have an obsession and frankly, I agree. One thing that has become synonymous (that was one of my vocab words!) with Harry Potter is my tofu with broccoli. I’ve made it AT LEAST 30 times and have improved on it time and time again. I’m prob to say that it actually kinda tastes good. AND it’s super easy to make and requires just 4 ingredients?
- 1 block tofu (I use lite tofu since its protein to calorie ratio is cray cray)
- 1 package frozen broccoli florets
- 5 tbsp general tsp’s sauce
- 2 tsp Olive oil
So I made an interactive video of how to make this, check it out at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wa_CU0ABJa4
Anyways, the recipe is quite simple. Heat your oil on medium heat. Drain your tofu and place it under a cutting board for around 15 minutes. Then slice into cubes, the more the better. Minecraft that tofu. When the oil is heated, throw your tofu in the pan and cook till browning. Remove the tofu and add your frozen broccoli. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until thawed and soft. I once undercooked my broccoli and had to eat it partially frozen. Not a great experience. After your broccoli is cooked, add in your general tso sauce and mix well. Serve plain or with rice, noodles, quinoa, chocolate cake, anything really. I won’t judge you.
